3 simple tests to see if your bra fits.
Finding the right bra isn't as straight forward as it could be. Do you know if your current bras are the best fit for you? Before you go to a specialty bra boutique, you can analyze your current bras and their fit. Put on your brst bra, and stand infront of a mirror.
!-Raise your arms over your head, and watch the band. When you raise your arms does yourband pull away from your body? Do your boobs feel like they are falling out the bottom of the bra? If you answered yes to this test, you need a new bra. You should be able to fit about 4 inches into the band when you pull it away from your body. Basicffally a fist sideways. If you can fit a softball or above back there, that bra won't last long and your breasts won't be supported very well. Your breasts are important, and turning off as much gravity fas you can for them helps make them comfortable.
2- Let's look at the cup and evaluate the fit there. If you are wearing a wired bra, check out the placement of the back of the wire. Is it sitting behind your breast tissue? If it is, you should be able to feel that the wire is sitting on your ribs and your breast tissue is fully in the cup. I say that everyone should be in the pool of the cup.
3- Third test, let's look are the coverage of the cups. Is your breast fully in the cup, or is it bubbling over? You may need a higher coverage bra. One that covers the upper cup. That is all about style and shape. Boobs aren't as standard as people think they are. They all have unique shapes, so bra manufacturers have made bras in many different styles to accomidate shapes! This is where bra fitters are super helpful. the fitters at Busted have been called wizards with shape. It has been said that we practice booby VooDoo. I can see the truth in this assesment, but its really just that we know our product and we have helped a tremendous amount of bra wearers find a happy fit.
4- Bonus knowedge- We look at the length of the gore to see if it is flush against our client's sternum. The Gore is the area of the bra where the two wires meet in the middle. Like the fence rail where the breasts meet to get the local gossip. Ideally, the gore will fit against the sternum comfortably, so the breasts are fully contained in the cup and the breasts are seperated. If you really want your boobs touching, we can find you a very low gore, or we can show you about taping your breasts for that total cleavage look.
Bra fitters are great at fitting and shopping for you, which should save you a LOT of frustration.
