Trends from the runway
I've just returned from a buying trip that went from Detroit to Paris, Ghent, and New York City. I had an incredible time with the brands, other boutique owners, and just seeing cool stuff. I can tell you that I saw some definite trends from the Runways and new collections. The tattoo effect is found on most lingerie pieces and is being done beautifully! Empreinte and Lise Charmel are excellent at it. The French laces are masterfully designed and many lay super flat on the skin. The second trend I saw was the bodysuit. Most brands have one to offer and black bodysuits rule the runway. You can wear the bodysuit as lingerie for the bedroom or the boardroom or both. Imagine the bedroom theater at the end of the day, when your partner sees you in a beautiful bodysuit under your everyday outerwear. I like to wear them as layers under my leather jacket or a sheer shirt. You can do just a peak or a full on show. The third trend from this trip was the G-String. Its back in all sizes and I am all about it. Thank you Elomi for bringing the Thong and the G-String in for the future collections. Busted will totally have the matching sets with multiple underwear options.
